Peter Barrie
CEO
Carat Australia
Peter was appointed CEO of Carat Australia in November 2009, after having previously been Managing Director of Carat’s Melbourne business since August 2007. Prior to this he spent sixteen years working in senior media sales roles with multinational companies in the UK and Australia including: News Limited, Hollinger International, Fairfax Media and APN News & Media.
Peter’s extensive experience in media sales and strategy, coupled with his knowledge and passion for digital media, are core skills that enable him to lead Carat, creating new opportunities for existing and new clients.

Simon Ryan
Managing Director
Carat Melbourne
Simon was appointed Managing Director of Carat’s Melbourne Business in October 2009 after being the General Manager of Mediacom Australia working there for 5 years. Prior to this Simon spent 12 years working in media companies such as Universal McCann and the Seven Network developing skill and providing consumer led media solutions for clients. Simon’s passion and experience across media strategy and innovative implementation extends to many successful client partnerships with a strong focus on business growth and results.
Simon is passionate about his clients, the Carat office and the team that make it all happen.

Adam Wade
Adam has over 8 years experience in the online space. He began his career as a web researcher for an online retailer in the UK before moving to London based agency The Media Shop where he assisted with the set up of their interactive offering TMSi. Following this he moved to Quantum where he worked as Media Manager for clients including Bank of America and Orange.
Adam moved to Sydney in 2006 as Business Manager of Havas owned Media Contacts where he worked across Virgin Mobile & Broadband, Dell and Peugeot. Early in 2008 he took up the role of Digital Director at Carat Australia.

Adriana Colaneri
Adriana has worked in the media industry for over 12 years with extensive experience in the Retail, Beauty, Finance and FMCG categories; working with leading international and Australian brands. She has been with Carat for over 4 years, working on a diverse client portfolio including The Just Group, Cadbury Schweppes, Nintendo, Swatch Group and La Trobe University. She specializes in print media and sponsorship leverage. Media she loves includes reading Vogue and Grazia magazines, watching Mad Men and ANY reality TV.

Catherine Krantz
Catherine has been with Carat since 2001 and in her current role as a Group Business Director her time is spent making sure she has happy clients and happy staff. She loves reality TV, cooking (especially since watching Master Chef) and traveling overseas. Catherine loves her clients especially the fringe benefits – chocolate, soft drinks and toys!

David Hearn
Dave has been part of the Carat family for 6 years and transferred from the London office to take up his current position in the Melbourne office. He has experience working across a variety of market sectors and thrives on understanding people, their media habits and how this relates to great communications.

David Hearn
Davo is originally from the UK so he of course enjoys afternoon tea, football and warm beer. When not being all English he is embracing the Australian way of life and enjoys everything that this country has to offer; from the cold beers and big Pineapple’s through to the desire for each town to be ‘the capital of…’

Gavin Ashcroft
Gavin Ashcroft has been with Carat for nine years, spending six years working in the UK before transferring to Carat Melbourne. Whilst Gavin loves his homeland he is in love with Australia and has enjoyed every second of his time downunder, though he still can’t stand up on a surf board or stand in the sun without burning his nose. He is passionate about his clients and his brilliant team, outside of work his passions include Blackburn Rovers, Yoga and his new puppies Rocco and Bella.

Ian Lomas
For 18 years Ian was a long-term member of the OMD UK family, working across BMP, MGM and WWAV as Head of TV Negotiations. With the formation of the OMD UK Group a new trading position was created for Ian and he led the first £1 billion media group.
In 2001 he was appointed Client Operations Director for OMD Europe where the role included setting up buying and trading systems that covered over 30 European markets, the management of a media expenditure of 9 billion Euros, and the creation of mini networks and communities of relevant specialists to share and exchange ideas.
In 2007 Ian was headhunted from the UK to become the Investment Partner for Zenith Optimedia covering offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Ian joined Carat in June 2009.

Kathryn Woods
Kathryn has 13 years experience in media. Since joining Carat, Kathryn has managed the running of the IAG and Clearview accounts
Prior to this she worked at Universal McCann for 5 and a half years with time spent on both the Australian Government account as a Client Service Manager and the Coca Cola account as a Communications Strategist.During her 4 years at AIS she worked on accounts such as Jeep, Canon (Australia and New Zealand), Pfizer and Murdoch Magazines.
Kathryn started her career in media at Merchant and Partners.

Kim Raicevich
Kim has been in the advertising industry for over 20 years, primarily in the media area working in some of Australia’s top agencies. In 2001, Kim took the opportunity of experiencing life in Asia, where she was Managing Director of Universal McCann in Malaysia. After two years, Kim returned to Sydney and ran the Unilever account at Universal McCann and then headed over to the ‘other’ side, consulting for News Ltd which she thoroughly enjoyed. In 2005, she joined Carat to manage the global account for Tourism Australia.

Stuart Perry
Stu’s been in the media game for well over ten years, having started at Carat in 2006. He has done a heap in media - from creating major events and sponsorships, to working on product recalls, or managing public listings of blue chip companies.
Stu is a Scorpio, he likes long walks on the beach, and spending time with his cat ‘Bu-Bu’ (nah, just kidding!)…. Stu is Melbourne born and bred, and doesn’t mind a beer every now and then.
